Co-founder and partner Rachel Dollar represents lenders, banks, insurance companies, secondary market investors, and loan servicers in the areas of consumer finance litigation, mortgage fraud, and compliance. She is well-known in the mortgage and financial services industry for her tireless advocacy on behalf of lenders. She has handled significant litigation matters for many large financial institutions and has acted as specialty counsel for government agencies. Ms. Dollar has testified before Congress on issues related to financial services.
Real Estate and Construction
Smith Dollar has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions and litigation including: acquisitions and developments, investments, leasing, finance, workouts, real estate owned, mechanic’s liens and title insurance. The firm advises clients on real estate matters and litigates all types of case arising out of real estate purchases and financing. Glenn Smith, a co-founder and partner, has litigated and tried dozens of cases involving construction contracts, the public bidding process, mechanic’s liens and payment and performance bonds. Smith Dollar’s expertise includes handling large, complex corporate and financial transactions for institutional real estate lenders, owners, and developers. The firm also handles the preparation of loan level transactional documents for institutional lenders.
