Talem IP is a 100% women owned and women run law firm that provides clients with comprehensive intellectual property (IP) solutions in the fields of semiconductors, engineering, software, and medical devices. Our firm includes attorneys and patent agents with backgrounds in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, and Chemistry. We offer services in the following practice areas: Patents, Trademarks, Licensing, IP Portfolio Management, New Venture Development, and Technology Transfer.
Wendy Zimbone, founding partner of Talem IP Law, specializes in IP licensing, IP strategy, and contract negotiations. She joined Talem from the University of Florida where she was the Assistant Director of Engineering and Software Licensing, managing approximately 400 intellectual property cases, an extensive patent budget and negotiated dozens of license agreements each year. Her practice is focused on the importance of intellectual property in overall business strategy and technology commercialization.

Wendy has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, and began her career working as a software engineer in the military defense industry. She went on to launch an internet based startup company and her entrepreneurship experience inspired her to go back to University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) for intellectual property law. There she received the Doris Rapee Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity in Technology. During her law degree, she started working in technology transfer at the University of New Hampshire, analyzing technologies for patentability and commercial potential. This opportunity led to a legal externship at MIT in the Office of Sponsored Programs, a consulting position at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, and a New Venture Development position at the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s medical device incubator. She was a winner of the Howard Bremer Scholarship in Technology Transfer from the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). She is currently actively involved in AUTM as a member of the AUTM software committee and a speaker at AUTM events and webinars.
