Kang Haggerty & Fetbroyt LLC (“KHF”) is a boutique law firm established in 2013 by a close-knit group of lawyers focused on providing effective and value-driven legal services. Founding members Edward T. Kang, Jacklyn Fetbroyt, and Daniel D. Haggerty had worked together for many years as colleagues before coming together to establish a modern, cost-effective, and client-oriented law firm. Initially the founding members concentrated their practice on business litigation matters, but we now offer counseling and representation for a wide range of legal issues in the following areas of law: construction law, bankruptcy and loan workout matters, real estate law, class actions, estate planning and administration, as well as insurance bad faith litigation.

In line with the continuing diversification of our legal services, KHF has geographically expanded to include offices in Center City, Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, NJ. Additionally, our team has grown to comprise a diverse group of attorneys and staff dedicated to the efficient and strategic handling of our clients’ legal issues. To that end, the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council recently certified KHF as a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise. Altogether we have a depth and range of talent that peers and rivals recognize. The diversity of social, cultural, and political backgrounds that our team members represent bolsters our vision as a multi-cultural law practice with an extensive professional network. Despite our continuing growth and diversification, we never forget that our firm is ultimately dedicated to the success of our clients.
Edward T. Kang is the managing member of Kang, Haggerty & Fetbroyt, LLC, and devotes the majority of his practice to business litigation and other litigation involving business entities. Rated AV Preeminent on Martindale-Hubbell, Edward is recognized as providing exceptional legal counsel and support to his clients. Unlike many litigation attorneys who never, or rarely, try a case in court, Edward regularly tries cases on behalf of both defendants and plaintiffs, including jury trials.

As part of his business litigation practice, Edward carries expertise in a variety of areas, including contract disputes, business torts (such as fraud or tortious interference), civil RICO, and breach of fiduciary duty. In particular, Edward focuses on “business divorce,” such as shareholder and partnership disputes. He has represented both majority and minority interest holders in such disputes, and believes in resolving these disputes as quickly as possible through negotiation and resolution. However, when litigation proves necessary, Edward is prepared to represent his clients through trial and on appeal if needed.

In addition to business litigation practice, Edward is experienced in other types of litigation relating to business entities, including insurance bad faith and construction law. He has represented contractors and owners in various construction litigation matters, such as design defects, faulty construction, delay, and failure to pay promptly. He has represented construction clients in arbitration and trial, both a jury trial and bench trial.

Edward also pursues claims in class actions and whistleblower actions. He is associated with the nationally known The Qui Tam Team (www.quitamteam.com), a team of lawyers that specialize in prosecuting whistleblower claims against individuals or organizations that defraud the government.
