Stefanie is a lynchpin litigator, working on some of our biggest commercial and aviation cases and mixing it up with deep experience in the defense of insured claims involving personal injury and wrongful death. Over the years, she also has handled product liability, premises liability, professional liability, real property, employment, life, health, disability and ERISA claims. We knew that Stefanie had a strength in research and writing when we learned of her educational background in journalism. She’s developed a niche in ferreting out inconsistencies in claims and legal positions adopted by our opposition and has secured the dismissal of a number of claims on fraud on the court grounds. Stefanie also holds the distinct honor of being the only lawyer we’ve encountered that has argued two inconsistent motions before the same federal court, in the same case, in the same hearing — and prevailed on both arguments. Stefanie serves on the board of and as voluntary counsel to The de Moya Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating programs, developing employment opportunities and providing assistance to children and young adults with special needs and their families by, among other methods, partnering with businesses to provide training and resources to assist them in integrating members of the special needs communities into productive employment roles in their business establishments. A married mother of two, Stefanie’s daughters look an awful lot like their dad, but we can tell from their sharp, penetrating stares that they definitely have their mom’s smarts and attention to detail.
