Chris Hamilton is an Associate in the firm’s Tampa office. Originally from Tampa, Chris graduated from Jesuit High School before attending the United States Naval Academy and the University of South Florida. After graduating with his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and M.B.A. from Stetson University College of Business, Chris began his legal career with Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, LLP.
While in law school, Chris won Best Overall Advocate in Stetson’s American Association for Justice Civil Trial Competition, competed with Stetson’s nationally ranked Trial Team, earned the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award, garnered book awards in both Arbitration and Trial Advocacy classes, and served as Stetson’s American Bar Association Representative.
Chris, who is an avid golfer and boater, also has an extensive competitive sailing background. He was a Varsity Letterman and Skipper on the U.S. Naval Academy’s Varsity Offshore Sailing Team, competing in numerous regattas across the country. Recently admitted to the Florida Bar, he is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Admiralty and Maritime Law Committee, the Maritime Law Association, Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and Tampa Bay Mariner’s Club.
