Matthew A. Barket is an Associate in the firm’s Miami office. Mr. Barket began his legal career as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mercedes Armas Bach, State of Florida 11th Judicial Circuit. He has focused his practice exclusively on first party property insurance defense and has represented the nation’s largest property insurance carriers. Mr. Barket’s experience includes multiple voluntary dismissals after discovery of fraudulent basis for claims. He has a consistent track record of economic and efficient case handling routinely resulting in settlement of claims for substantially less than the cost of defense.
Mr. Barket gained valuable experience prior to law school as a professional baseball player for the Windy City Thunderbolts and working at a Fortune 500 company in departments ranging form legal to marketing.
Mr. Barket is a member of the Florida Bar and is conversational in Spanish.
