Mary Ann Mullaney is a partner at The Axelrod Firm. Prior to joining The Axelrod Firm, she was a partner in the Philadelphia office of Blank Rome, an Am Law 100 law firm.
An accomplished trial and appellate lawyer, Mary defends businesses, governmental entities and individuals in complex litigation in federal and state courts. In practice as a litigator for more than twenty-three years, Mary has achieved defense verdicts in both jury and non-jury trials; additionally, she has considerable experience as a successful appellate advocate.
Commercial litigation is an area of specialty. Mary has also represented clients in matters involving toxic tort / environmental litigation, civil rights, state legislative redistricting, product liability, corporate governance, intellectual property, antitrust, accounting and actuarial malpractice, bankruptcy, and employment. In a career that began with the practice of criminal defense, white-collar criminal defense and government and internal investigations are also areas of significant expertise.
In recent years, the primary focus of Mary’s practice has been the representation of business entities in the chemical, oil and gas industries.
Mary is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, and a member of its Complex Commercial Litigation Institute.
Mary has served as a guest lecturer at Temple University of School of Law and Widener University School of Law. Additionally, Mary is a former adjunct instructor at Seton Hall University School of Law, where she taught appellate advocacy.
