James Leonard is an associate and member of the firm’s Employment Law and Business Litigation practice groups. He represents employers in all areas of employment litigation, including suits for wrongful termination, defamation, discrimination, wage and hour, and workers’ compensation discrimination. He also counsels employers on everyday employment matters and advises clients regarding new legal developments in the workplace. Mr. Leonard was a Rose Foundation Fellow for the First Amendment Project in 2008. He has extensive experience with First Amendment issues, including California’s anti-SLAPP statute. He received his J.D., from the University of San Francisco School of Law (2007) and his B.A., from the University of California, San Diego (1998).
