Our lawyers share common values of responsiveness, expertise and diligence with our clients. We are experienced in a broad range of distinct, though complementary practices, through which we can offer a large spectrum of legal services to our clients.

In addition, our attorneys have spent time working in the business world, either in a corporate setting or as business owners, which translates into value for our clients:

- We can provide guidance on the obligations or responsibilities under your franchise agreement.
- On real estate matters (investment, development, financing, etc.), we know the “ins” and “outs,”
- When you have employment related issues, we can manage the potential liabilities.

As a firm, we like to walk along side our clients in more of an advisory role; we try to understand how you feel; we try to grasp your concerns; and we put that information together to set up strategies suited for your individual situation. Our depth of business experience is a valuable asset for our clients and enhances the quality of work we deliver.

- Provide experienced counsel to companies in the US and abroad.
- When the need arises to structure cross-border business ventures and obtain financing for ventures, we have the know-how and the connections to get it done.

Ritu Verma is an Associate in the Atlanta office of Kumar, Prabhu, Patel & Banerjee, LLC. Her practice focuses primarily on wills, trusts and estate planning. She also supports the firm's corporate practice.

Ms. Verma believes in providing clients with a highly personalized and thorough estate plan, based on each client’s specific assets and distinct estate planning goals. Whether preparing simple wills and trusts or employing more advanced strategies for high net worth individuals, Ms. Verma provides clients with the tools they need to protect and preserve wealth for future generations, avoid probate, and minimize estate taxes. She also regularly prepares incapacity protection documents for clients, in the event of their future disability or inability to handle their affairs.

The probate process in Georgia can be a difficult and complex area to navigate. Ms. Verma counsels and advises clients through each step of the probate process and the overall administration of an estate after the loss of a loved one. She regularly prepares the various petitions and notices required in probate and estate administration, from Petitions for Letters Testamentary to the closing of the Estate. She also guides those clients who have been appointed as Personal Representatives, Executors, or Trustees of a loved one’s estate.

Ms. Verma earned her B.S. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University, and her J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law. While she was in law school, Ms. Verma served on the Editorial Board of the University of Richmond’s Journal of Law and Technology as Articles Editor, as well as a Justice for the law school’s Honor Council. Prior to joining the firm, she also worked on statewide campaigns in Georgia, for Secretary of State, the Georgia Supreme Court, and a primary for the United States Senate race.
