Mary Platt is Practice Group Chair, Complex Litigation and Alternate Dispute Resolution at Griesing Law, LLC. She has significant experience representing clients in complex individual cases and class actions pending before state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has handled a wide variety of litigation matters, including matters involving contract claims, shareholder and partner issues, antitrust claims, intellectual property, restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation, consumer protection and unfair competition claims, employment claims, real estate and environmental issues, insurance coverage, construction disputes, toxic tort and product liability claims, ethical issues, and attorney malpractice claims.
Mary has represented individuals and companies ranging from closely-held businesses to large multinational corporations in a variety of industries, including the technology, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, and real estate industries. She has served as a Judge Pro Tempore in many Philadelphia CCP Commerce Court cases, and represented clients in litigation involving large e-discovery productions.
Mary was elected Assistant Treasurer of the Philadelphia Bar Association and serves on its Board of Governors and the Chancellor’s Cabinet. She has held several leadership positions at the Philadelphia Bar Association, including chair of the Law Practice Management Division, and chair of the Federal Courts Committee, City Policy Committee and Women in the Profession Committee. Mary served for several years as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Women’s Law Project, a non-profit focused on advancing the rights of women and girls. She also volunteers for the Women’s Business Enterprise Council and other non-profit organizations.
Mary is an honors graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Georgetown University Law Center. She was recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2006, 2007, 2012 and 2013. Prior to joining Griesing Law, LLC, Mary was a partner at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP, for over twenty years where she was vice chair of the Litigation Department for several years and served on the Professional Responsibility Committee and Technology Committee.
