MARC W. GARBAR received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, cum laude, from Long Island University. Mr. Garbar received his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University School of Law. He is admitted to the bar of the States of New Jersey, New York and Florida. Mr. Garbar engages in litigation in state and federal courts. His practice focuses on employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, restrictive covenant litigation, business law, commercial litigation, securities violations and contract negotiation. Mr. Garbar counsels corporations in the prevention of adverse employment issues and assists in the formulation and implementation of employment policies as well as the preparation of employee handbooks. Mr. Garbar served as lead attorney as Special Counsel representing the State of New Jersey for Labor Negotiations matters. Mr. Garbar maintained his own law practice, as a sole practitioner and as a partner, and defended the City of New York in labor and employment matters including, but not limited to, alleged unlawful arrests concerning mass litigation which stemmed from the 2004 Republican National Convention. Mr. Garbar has given seminars to many business groups, as well as to various private organizations including the National Organization for Women, on multiple employment law related topics including discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination. Mr. Garbar speaks weekly on various legal topics at Business Networking International in Paramus, New Jersey and he appears as a legal commentator on local television news broadcasts.
