Wang Kobayashi Austin, LLC was founded by Andy Wang, Jennifer Kobayashi and Stacey Austin, attorneys who excel at providing practical advice and guidance on both the everyday and complex issues that arise in the operation of employee benefit plans and executive compensation programs.
  Each of the attorneys of WKA practices exclusively in the area of ERISA/employee benefits and executive compensation.

Andy Wang, Partner

Andy has over 18 years experience in employee benefits law. He advises public and private companies on the design, implementation, administration, and compliance issues that arise in connection with all types of employee benefits plans, including retirement plans, equity-based compensation plans, incentive plans, health and welfare benefit plans, and executive compensation arrangements.

Prior to founding Wang Kobayashi Austin, Andy was a partner in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation department of Winston & Strawn LLP. Prior to joining Winston & Strawn, Andy worked in the Office of the Solicitor of the United States Department of Labor, where he handled litigation enforcing violations of ERISA's fiduciary duty and prohibited transactions requirements.

Jennifer Kobayashi, Partner

Jennifer has experience in a broad range of benefits and compensation matters. She frequently advises employers on correcting qualified plan errors and has prepared numerous submissions under the IRS plan correction program. She also advises employers on plan mergers and terminations, including the preparation of related plan amendments, resolutions, IRS filings, and employee communications.

Prior to forming Wang Kobayashi Austin, Jennifer was an attorney for nine years in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Department of Winston & Strawn LLP.

Stacey Austin, Partner

Stacey works with clients of all sizes on all types of employee benefit matters, including drafting retirement and welfare plans and programs, and filing determination letter applications and voluntary correction submissions. Stacey has particular expertise with fiduciary obligations under ERISA and counsels clients on compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to employee benefit plan fiduciaries and advising plan sponsors with qualified plan corrections and Department of Labor/IRS audits.

Prior to forming Wang Kobayashi Austin, Stacey was an attorney for six years in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Department of Winston & Strawn LLP.
