H. Scott Johnson, Jr. is a founding partner and the Managing Member of PCT Law Group. Mr. Johnson specializes in complex business litigation with an emphasis on employment disputes, commercial disputes, and business torts. He has represented multiple Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts throughout the United States. In 2010, Mr. Johnson was recognized as a “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business Magazine.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Johnson also represents businesses in a variety of transactional matters where he serves as “outside general counsel” for several small and mid-sized Virginia companies. His business transactions practice includes counseling and advising businesses at all stages of the growth cycle on a broad range of matters, including corporate formation and organization, mergers and acquisitions, business contracts, employment agreements, employment policies, joint ventures, and corporate transactions. Additionally, Mr. Johnson’s transactional experience also includes representing businesses on government contracts and procurement issues.
Prior to founding PCT Law Group, Mr. Johnson was a civil litigator at a prominent Northern Virginia law firm, where he litigated a litany of business and employment cases including Title VII actions, business torts, trade secret disputes, and contract disputes. Mr. Johnson’s previous litigation experience also includes working at Krooth & Altman, LLP, where his practice focused on litigating complex commercial matters including multi-million dollar real estate disputes, financial transactions, and employment matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and employment contracts.
Mr. Johnson received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and his B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is admitted to the Virginia and District of Columbia bars.
