NAMWOLF ADVISORY COUNCIL

Advisory Council Members

The NAMWOLF Advisory Council has been established to serve as a consultative and advisory body to provide valuable input to the Board of Directors on matters related to the mission, objectives and goals of the association. In addition, the Advisory Council provides the means for discussing and evaluating NAMWOLF affairs and provides the opportunity for reporting on, exchanging ideas about, and evaluating the activities and programs.

Senior in-house counsel and diversity officers from major corporations and government entities, invited and selected by the Board of Directors, are eligible to become members of the Advisory Council. The term of membership is at the pleasure of the Board of Directors of NAMWOLF.

The primary duty of the Advisory Council is advising and consulting with the NAMWOLF Board of Directors and the membership at large. Duties include:

  • Providing advice on how NAMWOLF can best attract corporate participation.
  • Assisting in recruiting Corporate Sponsors and Partners by participating with staff members during the recruiting process.
  • Providing advice and resources regarding recruitment of Law Firm Members.
  • Taking part in the day-to-day activities of NAMWOLF through service on one or more Standing Committees.

In addition, the Council will be called upon to provide advice to NAMWOLF members on how to effectively market their services to corporations. The time commitment will include three (3) teleconferences per year and one (1) meeting in person.

NAMWOLF STANDING COMMITTEES

NAMWOLF also has several Standing Committees, each with a separate area of responsibility. Each Committee is comprised of Advisory Council members, Board members and others. The Committees are:

  • Awards/Recognition
  • Events/Meetings Program
  • Finance/Audit
  • Law Firm Membership
  • Membership Engagement and Outreach
  • Governance and Membership Structure
  • Corporate Sponsorship and Outreach

The Committees meet four times a year (or more as needed) via teleconference. The Committees also occasionally meet in person as their duties require.
